I'm Home

Wednesday, 2 January 2013

New York was just the most wonderful place to have spent Christmas, my birthday and New Year. To sum it up I think my family almost covered every single 'touristy' sightseeing thing to see and do in New York and we even managed to see the ball drop on Times Square despite the fact the streets were absolutely packed. The shopping was incredible too - over the 10 days I managed to visit all planned department stores (Bloomingdales, Barney's, Bergdorf Goodman, Saks and Macy's) and even picked up a range of things for my Christmas/birthday and some things in the sales too. My brother was constantly moaning at how all I wanted to do was shop but honestly, I didn't do that much! New York is always somewhere I had dreamed about visiting but couldn't quite picture how it worked or where proportionally everything was. I am left with some lovely gifts/souvenirs (say hello to all my tacky 'I heart NY' merchandise) and some freezing lovely christmassy memories of such a magical city. I'm also officially 18 so i'm off out for some cocktails this evening with the girls... who knows where we'll end up! Below are my Instagram snaps of the trip and I have planned a series of posts over the next week so check back tomorrow for more photos (and lots of outfit posts finally)!
