Vogue Fashion's Night Out Manchester

Tuesday, 8 October 2013

H&M TREND coat, ASOS boots, TOPSHOP skirt, ZARA turtleneck, ZARA bag

Mostly my photos with 4/5 from Roo.

I was so pleased to have made the effort travelling up to Manchester last Thursday, despite the four hour train. I went with my friends and newly accomplished bloggers Roo and Carmy - definitely pay their blogs a visit! Amongst the huge crowds and various events going on, it was definitely hard to see everything, if not impossible to see everything! Therefore we made the decision to pop into H&M just as Pixie Geldof was DJ-ing and then got street snapped by Gap to then get asked to go check out their store. Gap was a little further out the way but we were so pleased we did make the effort as it was a little less busy and we got talking to the store manager about blogger events and our photos taken at the back of the store by the The Mancorialist (with the added bonus of a free oreo milkshake!).

Afterwards we decided to pay Selfridges a visit. It took us a while to get in because Carmy was getting street snapped here, there and everywhere by the entrance. Selfridges were also giving out £5-£50 gift cards outside the store to entice shoppers to make a purchase that evening... we certainly made the most out of ours even though they were all only £5. Upstairs Jameela Jamil was DJ-ing and after telling Carmy she loved her jumpsuit we had a photo taken together. It was such an exciting evening, I didn't know where to look most of the time. Confirm this with Carmy or Roo - I was a little overwhelmed!

After the initial excitement and the free bar had finished, we decided to head over to Harvey Nichols to see the goings on inside the store. They had some giant board games on the ground floor where you could win free beauty goodies and plenty of cocktails and champagne was being handed out - perfect! Upstairs we found the designer booths where you could get your official Vogue Fashion's Night Out t-shirt customized entirely by a designer of your choice! Most designers were on small shifts so we only saw Sophia Webster and Roksanda Ilincic working their magic.

By the time we got to Topshop on the way back, everything had finished and I was quite disappointed I missed the Kate Phelan talk. I also wanted to pay Flannels a visit to see Matthew Williamson etc. but with such a short time span and the effort of moving areas it wasn't really possible. It was such an amazing evening overall and could have done it over and over again so I could have seen absolutely everything. Now cannot wait for next year as it'll probably be back in London again.
