Here's the second instalment of day one at London Fashion Week. I'm off to New York tomorrow (ahhhhhhh!) so I only planned to attend the first two days and can honestly say they were absolutely incredible and even more exhilarating than I could have ever imagined. This was my first time attending as a 'blogger', and although I have visited/worked at the last two seasons, this was a totally different experience.
The day started with avocado tartine for lunch with Georgia at one of my favourite Covent Garden cafés - Le Pain Quotidien - followed by my first show of the season; Bora Aksu. The collection embodied an opulent mix of fabrics and textures, with soft tones and beautiful detailing and overlays. Next up was Felder Felder, held at the Freemason's Hall (a beautiful, but cramped show space) which had a nonchalant 70s vibe and I adored the models cool fringe hairdos!
Georgia and I had a couple of hours to spare in between shows so we headed up to the Media Lounge in the ME Hotel for a refreshing drink with stunning panoramic views over Somerset House and the river (the perfect little spot for a quick photo-sesh). Lastly, I headed over to the Royal College of Surgeons for the Fyodor Golan show, my favourite of the day. We entered the show space by walking under a large colourful rainbow and the collection lived up to the name; Rainbow Wheel. With quite literally, pieces made in every colour of the rainbow, the My Little Pony motifs made my inner-child squeal with excitement as they were a firm favourite of my 5-year-old self!
Day two up tomorrow!
