So it's come to that point, mid-October, when we have to dig out our coats from storage and cherry pick which styles to take forward into the new season (and rehome those that need to go. Luckily I still absolutely adore all of my coats - I can't reinforce the importance of buying outerwear that can stand the test of time, but more of that another time).
Coat | Ganni
Jeans | Acne Studios
Shoes | Sandro
Tee | Whistles
Bag | Sandro (similar)
It would be difficult, however, not to pick up one or two new styles... I've got black, camel, grey, shearling and teddy coats nailed, but I realised I was missing something checked. You're going to be seeing a lot of check, tweed and houndstooth this season, but not as you may expect. Traditional tweeds and houndstooth styles have been given a fashion makeover - just look to Balenciaga's AW16 structured peplum jacket for example.
Danish brand Ganni has been on my radar ever since my last purchase... Does something orange ring any bells? I think they produce such quality, fashion-forward pieces for a fraction of a designer price tag. Seeing as I'm not quite yet ready to let go of summer, I thought I'd give my Acne denim and Sandro shoes one of their last outings. Goodbye summer!
