When Kurt Geiger asked me if I'd like to style-up a pair of their SS17 trainers, I felt up for the challenge. Trainers and I have a bit of a love-hate relationship, but recently I’ve found myself incorporating sleeker, rubber-soled flat-form styles into my daily wardrobe.

Previously, Converse and Stan Smiths were as close as I’d ever got to lace-ups and it
took quite a bit of self-convincing for me to believe trainers suited my personal style. Now, they make up 50% of my weekly wardrobe... There’s just
something about a platform trainer, it’s like wearing a heel in the day, but
without the discomfort. I’m not short, but at around 5’5”, a little bit of
extra height can work wonders! The Ladbrook from Kurt Geiger simply transforms the
casual essence of a trainer into a sleek and polished shoe. With a smooth
stone-coloured front and a subtle hint of snakeskin, I knew that they’d
instantly become the next ‘it’ shoe in my wardrobe!
This is also my first shoot with the incredible photographer
Michaela - I just love how these shots turned out. I’m also pretty besotted with
pairing white on white. In hindsight, walking around Soho in white denim and pale shoes was a little bit silly, and thank goodness I avoided spilling the Ivy Soho Brasserie’s hollandaise sauce over my outfit in the afternoon! These Acne white jeans have become one of my favourite wardrobe staples and I believe that everyone should own a pair. I’ve linked some alternatives above - these are almost identical.
White on white however would be much more fitting for the Amalfi Coast - lucky that I'm heading there this weekend! I’m packing lots of white, summery gingham, frilly tops and denim and I'm flying out on Saturday for 10 days of Italian BLISS. I’ve never been to Southern Italy
before and I’ve heard great, great things. If you have any Amalfi recommendations, please let me know in the comments below!
