As much as I value catching up with friends, visiting new restaurants or just getting out and about exploring London, I just love spending quality time at home. I'm very lucky to have such a lovely spacious yet cosy home that I can always rely on to escape the city buzz to relax and wind-down after a long day.

It took a while for the look and feel of my room to really fall into place. Despite the fact it's furnished and I already had a lot of my own things before moving in, it took a bit of trial and error to make the space really work for me. Plus I'd never previously had space to have a sitting/reading area in my bedroom before so the chair was a hand-me-down from my Grandma = what a bonus!
You really can make any space in your home instantly fresher with the simple addition of some plants. My parents bought me the rubber plant when I moved in, and I picked up a giant cactus at Columbia Road Flower Market for only £15! The majority of my cushions come from H&M Home, mostly because they are SO reasonably priced, meaning you can easily switch things up when you fancy a change.
I do try to avoid clutter wherever possible but I personally favour busier, more interesting spaces than minimal almost clinical spaces - that's just not me! My mantle piece holds a selection of books, plants, picture frames, candles and things I've gathered from my travels such as my crockery from Amalfi and candle sticks and plant pots I found in antique shops in Clifton and London.
